The Emmanuel Choir

Music is a gift from God, and as with all of God’s gifts, we are meant to share it lavishly. Under the expert leadership of Music Director and Associate of the Academy of Royal Music, Mr. Charles Humphries, our music program is strong and growing. We set the bar high–and keep it fun–as we help our parish worship, steeped in beauty. The choir sings for our principal Sunday service, as well as for Evening Prayer and Evensong services.

We are seeking experienced volunteer liturgical musicians to join us!

With a revitalized focus on our music ministry, our new Director of Music, Charles Humphries, seeks singers who have some experience, though it is not a necessity. Guidance and teaching are available to members of the choir in both group and one-on-one formats from the Director, in addition to weekly rehearsals incorporating warm-ups and techniques for healthy singing.

Rehearsals
Thursday evenings      7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Sunday mornings        9:00 AM

Worship
Sunday mornings        10:00 AM, Holy Eucharist, Rite II

All voice types are welcome!

Please email Charles Humphries, Director of Music (charles.humphries@emmanuelrva.org) for further information and an opportunity to discuss joining the choir of Emmanuel Episcopal Church at Brook Hill.
